Abelia grandiflora is a graceful evergreen shrub. It provides year round interest either as a stand alone large shrub or as a dense hedge. Small glossy leaves densely cover the arching stems. small pink trumpet like flowers adorn the plant from late spring until autumn. The flowers have a sweet fragrance which is attractive to bees and butterflies. A very hardy plant in full sun or light shade, and will tolerate dry soils once established. Easily pruned to whatever size suits in late winter or early spring. Plants can grow to 3 meters.
