Freighting plants

Please note: We have a minimum order of three plants on all our stock except large trees (Pb 5 plus)

Plants and freight must be paid for before plants are sent – Tuesday  following receipt of payment.

Aramex continues to provide us with a reliable service, that has delivered all our plants in a timely and safe manner.

The freight prices listed below cover only the actual freight costs. We are building the associated costs- packaging and printing etc- into our plant price, while still providing plants at wholesale prices. 

Plants ordered and picked up will receive a 20% discount at check out.

All of our 9 cm pots will fit in the boxes below. Many l liter pots will also fit in the smaller boxes. All of our shrubs and a few small trees will fit in the medium or large boxes below. For those taller plants there will be some additional costs.

Larger grades will need to be costed on a case by case basis. Some of our trees can only be freighted during the winter months when they have lost their leaves. Please contact us.

We do not freight Heirloom tomato plants sorry.

We are regularly adding new stock to our shop. If you are looking for a particular plant or see something in our social media posts that you like please contact us and we will try to help.

Plants are usually sent on Tuesdays. Freight is overnight for the North Island, and 2-3 days for the South Island. Please allow an extra 1-2 days for rural areas. Physical addresses only – no P.O. boxes.

A bit about box sizes:

Mini: This will hold up to 6 x 9 cm pots, or 3 x 1 liter pots plus 2 x 9 cm pots. It can hold 2 x 1.25 liter pots but many plants in this size will be too tall. We will always try to fit plants into the cheapest option for our customers.

Small: This will hold 12 x 9 cm pots, or 9 x 1 liter pots, or 6 x 1.25 liter pots. And various combinations of these.

Medium: These have a bit more height for taller shrubs. They will fit 20 x 9 cm pots, or 12 x 1 liter pots or 9- 10 1.25 liter / Pb 2.

Large: Plenty of head space for tall shrubs and some small trees. Holds 6-7 Pb 5’s or 12- 13 Pb 2’s

Please add $7.80 per carton for rural addresses.

Hawke’s Bay Urban:

• All boxes $7 (Waipukurau to Wairoa)
• Additional charges may apply for trees over 1.2 meters and/or 25 kg.

North Island Urban:

All of the North Island outside Hawke’s bay.
