We have grown heirloom tomatoes in Hawke’s Bay for about twenty years and collecting the seed from the best of them. We love heirloom tomatoes best for their taste, and variety. Many of the old heritage varieties have also been shown to have health benefits not seen in many modern hybrids. We are sure you will enjoy them too.
Because we experience late frosts in Ongaonga (November), our tomatoes are started in the Greenhouse in 1.25 litre pots, so they have plenty of room to grow before we plant them out in the garden in late November. In a good year we will get to pick a few tomatoes for Christmas, but our main harvest is over February and March.
Orders need to be received by the 1st September. Plants are available for pick up from the 12th of October. We do free deliveries to Waipukurau, Waipawa, Ongaonga, Tikokino and Otane on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of October. Specifically, to these post codes listed below.
