Sarcococca are a genus of 11 species native to eastern and southeastern Asia and the Himalayas. All species are evergreen shrubs 1-2 meters tall. Leaves are shiny green and dense.
S. ruscifolia is covered in fragrant creamy white flowers from late winter through to spring. It is a great source of nectar for bees. Flowers are followed by small red dupes. The plant makes a very easy care low shrub up to 1 meters x 1 meter. Plants grow well in shady areas but will handle full sun (though leaves could look a little bleached in really hot sun)
