Description
Common name: Amur maackia, Amur tree
The Amur maackia is a member of the Fabaceae family and originates from the Amur river region of Northeastern China, Korea, and Russia.
An extremely hardy and beautiful tree, with the added bonus of being a nitrogen fixer. Summer flowers are creamy white and pea-like in dense erect clusters. Even more interesting are the unfolding buds in spring which appear silvery and showy, like flowers with frost on them.
