Description
Common Names: crested iris, butterfly flower, fringed iris
An Iris for shady woodlands. Plants are evergreen and create an effective ground cover over time. They are great for softening the edges of paths with their fan like arching leaves. Wiry stout stems with an abundance of the softest lilac, almost white petaled flowers with a yellow/ orange crest. Flowering is from mid spring till about December. Hardy plants in well drained soil and moderate fertility.
