Description
Common Name: perennial mullein, nettle-leaved mullein
A striking plant with tall spikes of richly branched Candelabra like flower spikes covered in golden yellow flowers with violet filaments. They flower from late spring and throughout the summer months. Leaves are large basal rosettes of grey green. Plants thrive in dry soils in full sun. They are great pollinator plants. Remove faded flower spikes to encourage longer flowering if wished, though the dry seed heads have their own appeal. if planting several allow about 60 cm between plants.
