Description
Common name: Banks Peninsula blue tussock.
Festuca actae is a New Zealand native tussock with fine blue/green foliage originally from Banks Peninsula. Flowering stems are held stiffly above the plant. Tolerant of most conditions but they do not like wet feet. A very attractive tussock for mass planting, it also works well with low growing perennials, particularly those with silvery/ grey/ green leaves such as Stachys, Nepeta, Santolina, and Acaena species.
