Description
Common names: matted pratia, trailing pratia, blue star creeper
An Australian native groundcover with similarities to our New Zealand native Pratia angulata. L. pedunculata is a creeping perennial that spreads by underground stolon. Gorgeous starry blue flowers smother the plants. Flowers can appear at various times of year even in winter, though flowering is most common between Spring and Autumn. Plants grow best with light shade or in sun with good mulch and moisture. Admiral butterflies particularly enjoy the nectar in these flowers.
