Common name: Shasta daisy
Leucanthemum x superba has the classic daisy appearance- large white petals around a yellow disk.Originally a hybrid bred in the 1890’s, and named the Shasta daisy after Mount Shasta for it’s snow white petals.Plants produce lush dark green foliage from spring with the stiff upright flower stalks appearing from late spring. Flowers are long lasting and excellent as cut flowers.
like all members of the daisy family- the flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies.
