Description
Common name: Hyssop
Hyssop is a small woody perennial shrub native to southern Europe and the Middle East. A member of the mint family that has many uses in traditional herbal medicines. The deep bright blue flowers are a magnet for pollinators especially honey bees. Flowering for extended periods over summer, hyssop is a very useful plant in the perennial border with the flower colour working well with anything such as the gorgeous Heleniums in the photo. Plants are very drought tolerant.
