‘Autumn Joy’ is a definite favourite in the perennial garden. Plants produce strong upright dark pink flower heads from late summer and well into autumn. Flowers gradually fade to bronze then brown. The flower heads can be left right through the winter, providing interest, and bird food. They look gorgeous with frost on them too. Can be used as cut flowers. Flowers are rich in nectar and enjoyed by bees and butterflies. Plants thrive in poor free-draining soils in full sun. the fleshy soft green leaves form a tidy mound.
