Grevillea species are evergreen shrubs and occasionally small trees in the family Proteaceae. Most 380 plus species are endemic to Australia, with a few endemic to New Caledonia, New Guinea and Sulawesi in Indonesia. Grevillea species are all particularly good sources of Nectar and Pollen for Birds and Insect pollinators.
Grevillea ‘Canberra Gem’ is a robust medium sized shrub. This is a fine leaved variety though it can be a bit spiky. The gorgeous red flowers appear from late winter through spring. The occasional flower will appear during summer too. A tough plant for dry areas.
